U.S. Patent Issued For Viacreme; Natural Health Trends Corp. and 40J's LLC Announce Patent Approved for Viacreme Product
DALLAS, Dec 5, 2001 (BW HealthWire) -- Natural Health Trends Corp. (OTCBB: NHTC) announced the receipt of the U.S. patent for Viacreme(TM). 40J's LLC and Lexxus International announced the issuance of Patent No. 6322493 for Viacreme. The patent, awarded to Viacreme formulator Dr. Ronald Thompson, was officially issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on Tuesday, November 27, 2001.
"The issuance of a patent is a process that requires research, due diligence and time. The receipt of the Viacreme patent has been much anticipated by the entire Lexxus family," said Dr. Ronald Thompson.
"We appreciate the patience of everyone who has followed our progress during this process and believe this patent further secures Viacreme as the only viable, recognized product of its kind in the marketplace," said Lexxus
President and CEO Terry LaCore, pointing out Claim 14 in the patent information that provides protection for Viacreme with regard to the L-Arginine and Menthol ingredients. Claim 14 gives 40J's LLC and Lexxus International the substantiation and legal ground to prevent the marketing of any similar product by any other company.
